Zoe Payne – Sand and Seagulls!

Hi, I’m Zoe and I live on the Dorset coast with my family.
We live close to the beach and I go there as much as I can. I just love it, and I feel very lucky to live in such a beautiful place.
My husband and I have known each other since we were children as we went to school together. We have three small boys and two dogs so our house is never quiet! I have always had a passion for Marketing, I studied Marketing at University and used to work in Financial Services Marketing.
But when we started a family I wanted to be around more. So, inspired by our seaside-themed wedding, I set up Sand and Seagulls – my online business, where everything I make and sell is inspired by the seaside.
As a Mum of three small boys and running my own online business, ‘Me Time’ is so important, especially over these past 12 months when all of our lives have been turned upside down. ‘Me Time’ can be a walk in the park, an extra long bath, gardening or baking. For me, my ‘Me Time’ is exercise. If I could go back in time, even a couple of years ago, old Zoe would have laughed at that. I used to do no exercise at all and couldn’t imagine anything worse than going for a run.
But now, I exercise almost everyday and not just for my body, but for my mind. My mental and physical health over the past year have improved dramatically for it. I love going for a run, especially in the dark with my torch as for half an hour or so I switch off, and it feels like I’m the only person in the world.
Or an hour’s LBT or Barre class via Zoom in my son’s bedroom helps me switch off from the stresses of the day!
I joined Funky as an Ambassador earlier this year and I have two pairs of Funky Leggings; Ombre Safari and Speckled Winter – they are both brilliant. Not only are the designs fabulous but the quality of the material is great, they don’t ride up or down when I’m exercising.
The pocket at the back is very handy for my phone and the elastic-tie waist is a brilliant idea. Not just for exercising either, I’ll often lounge in them with a chunky sweatshirt. Super leggings and I’ve already got my eye on more!
